Council of Islamic Jurisprudence (Majlis-e-Shar'ie)

A council of Islamic Jurisprudence (Majlis-e-Shar'ie)was constituted on 23rd of Jamadil Akherah 1413 A.H./ corresponding to December 19, 1992 A.D. to answer the complicated problems raised by this modern scientific age in the light of Islamic Jurisprudence.

Some expert Muftis and visionary Ulema were nominated as the members of this council . Afterwards a three member board , comprising distinguised visionary Ulema and Mashaiekh was formed . Their duties included the work of serious deliberation and reflection on the ideas put forth by the Ulema and Muftis in the seminar and draw some appropriate conclusions on the undecided issue and verify the once which have been decided and agreed upon by the Ulema after thorough discussions and debates . Till now nine large and small scale seminars have been conducted under the auspices of this council (Majlis).
